... age 89 in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Blind from early childhood he was an outstanding musician and personality, oozing class through and through and is also one of my main musical influences. I have fond memories listening to him live and visiting his hometown of Deep Gap, NC ( right ). RIP Doc.Check him out here
