Trip To Heidelberg

Last week i traveled to Heidelberg and the nearby town of Leimen ( home of tennis

great Boris Becker for the tennis buffs among you ) and shure enough i enjoyed my

time down there. Now Germany has many beautiful areas and the wine-growing

districts along the river Rhine must belong to the most spectacular ones among them.

When the train passed that area i layed my book "Lockdown 2" by Michael Morris

aside, grabbed another beer and watched in awe the scenery - marvellous.

Heidelberg is a very old town and long time fav among tourists visiting Germany.

Of course i have been there before, though this time i did some more in-depth

sight-seeing, however didn't make it up to the castle due to the Covid nuisance.

What makes the town attractive is the spectacular architecture contrived by archi-

tects, who had a sense of beauty and were eager trying to create a pleasant environ-

ments, where folks enjoyed to hang out, while the stone cold contemporary styles 

are quite the opposite and not inviting at all. So those, who have the opportunity to 

visit Heidelberg should go and check it out ...

End Of Season Footie Bets

The football season comes to an end now bar the European Championships  no one

cares about and that means, there are some decent betting opportunities. I looked for

teams from the bottom of the table made favourite against midtable opponents. The

former mostly likely will fight tooth and nails to avoid relegation, while the latter

have nothing to play for, considering the match an nuisance en route to the vacation,

thus will display a lacklustre performance. I picked three games fitting the criteria,

I also can't resist a flutter at the Cologne - Schalke 04 match from the German 

Bundesleague. It's a do or die game for Cologne and everybody expects an easy 

win against a club holding the wooden spoon almost whole season. They might

comply, though since Schalke already planned for next season they have entered

some young legs into their squad and rested former stars, who are way beyond

their peak. This resulted in an impressive win against Frankfurt last week and

i reckon a simlilar performance suffice to send Cologne into the doldrums.

No, not talking about the famous racehorse ( see link below ), but the hottest
