Next Tuesday on June 15th one of my favourite horse races takes place in Ascot
with the King's Stand Stakes. This race is usually won by the seasons top sprinter,
though during the current campaign none of the contenders crystallized out as the
bearer of that title. Battaash (IRE) is defending his crown, though hasn't run for
a while and his odds are awfully short for a 7-year old, who don't have a good
record in this. I rather side with WINTER POWER (IRE) , trained by Tim Easterby
and has ace rider S. de Sousa in the saddle.

The Euro 2016 semis were handed over by the Germans to France for political
reasons with Schweinsteiger the executioner of the treason doing the most ridi-
culous handball inside a box i probably have ever seen with the French going on
to screw the final against 10 Portuguese. This time they won't need support of that
kind and are worthy favs with a rock solid defense and a fearsome offense. Italy
is also of interest having won their last 8 games while keeping a clean sheet albeit
against partly lowly opposition. As a top goalscorer i am still impressed by Cristiano
Ronaldo. Even as he 36 years old now he shows no sign of slowing down and is still
scoring in the Seria A left, right and center. Here is my rota of bets ...
